Seattle Brawl Elegy was written by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko during his hospitalization while he was working on 0079 in early 1980. Recounted upon in 'My Back Pages', Yasuhiko was given a map of Seattle by a visiting friend and decided to do something with his idle time and wrote this novel. It was ultimately published in 1981 when Yas was well by Tokuma Shoten. The story is about a young boy in Seattle who is an amateur boxer in an underground ring run by corrupt scammers, whereas he is poised to fight a menacing, undefeatable opponent; romance, angst, and coming of age are major focal points of this work and its rather tender and engaging (though I will not spoil it further).
I acquired this copy from my private seller, who has been so generous to me throughout my interest in archiving, and I am eternally thankful to them for this opportunity. For this effort, I have scanned the following:
-Interior pages. -Front/Back covers. -The book sleeve. -ISBN/Publishing information. -Other small bits of data that I felt should be on the web.
This book is well over 40+ years old and has some staining and is sensitive on the binding, so I did the best I could do with the materials. The text itself will be scanned in one day and translated, but this will be an undertaking and I simply don't have time to do it at the moment.
I do not do this professionally; I am just an avid fan and am sharing what I have with the world the best I can. If you have other materials, please share with everyone. This material is over 40+ years old and we have a brand new generation of people who need to see this history.
Well aware of that, but I wanted to get the illustrations out first as it would take longer for a release of them about my schedule. Surely you understand that; thanks!!!
