The story and translation is nice, though I can't say I'm much one for the art style. Everyone looks a little too much like a bratz doll for me.

The art is strange, but it was a very interesting alice in wonderland esque tale of actual gender transition for MtF. The MC having dysphoria since childhood but unable to tell anyone about it, the pills that change your breasts permanently, the doctor specialized in SRS, and the queen acceping the MC into womanhood (although this last character was a bit too porny but maybe I just missed something), and the friend welcoming her into womanhood IRL.

It's a really interesting take on the psyche of the Japanese person that wrote/illustrated this, and how universal trans experiences and feelings are regardless of country. But porn.

As someone that still semi-regularly reads the Clannad VN on-and-off, I'm pretty sure that meme is more in reference to the likes of the original 1999 Kanon VN and/or 2000 Air VN; by the time the Clannad VN released in 2004, Key's character "style" had become less extreme.

To anyone that stumbles upon this, Senno Knife's art style has been like this for over a decade. Good to see nothing has changed but the Clamp-esque/bishojou style was decently popular then.
