1. Make sure your black and white images are in "grayscale", not "RGB."
2. Level your pages (adjustment layer => levels.)

Here, your pages are both in color, which gives them this weird brown-ish tint , and they're faded as hell because you didn't level the blacks and whites.

I have no idea how to do any of that im still new at this. I’m just a guy commissioning the translation. I send them the link to what I want and they just translate what’s already out there.
