It's an old trick. Years ago (early 2000s), many viruses/worms are spreading via emails. They disguised executable files (exe, com, vbs, etc) as picture files or music files. The trick is using file names like "nude.jpg.vbs". Vbs files are VBscript files and you can execute them by double clicking the files. Windows hide the file extensions by default so what you see in Windows Explorer is nude.jpg instead of the full name. Since you see the file name as "nude.jpg", you might think it's a picture and double click it to see the pic. BAM! The script inside the vbs file are executed and you successfully get a virus or a worm in your Windows. That's why I always set Windows Explorer to show all file extensions to prevent this kind of trick. I think most antiviruses block vbs now because I haven't seen those vbs for a long time.

Except the trick you described seldom works anymore with modern OS. Not in the last due to antiviral shield becoming ubiquitous at this point. You'll need to go pretty over the mundane line to turn your in-built protections off, not to mention opt to not use dedicated antiviral soft - but. The only known cure for stupidity are Soviet Lead Pills, so you are still on the money here.

This is an old trick, though.
It is called "rarjpg".
Or "zippng" in this case, I suppose.
Basically, due to specifics of the file structure, image viewers see such files as images, while dedicated archivators would search for completely different signature, and see thouse files as archives.
Or you can just remove ".png" part of the filename, and force your system to recognize the file as an archive instead of the image.

Word of the day: steganography.

移动设备上使用默认系统的解压缩软件是不行的。移动设备需要下载专门的解压软件(我用的是解压缩全能王，安卓设备)。桌面系统上windows来说，如果你用的是winrar这个老版系统默认的解压缩软件，你就算改后缀为zip也解压不能。需要安装更强大的解压软件。我用的是7ZIP。改文件后缀为.7z或者.rar，而不是.zip，就可以解压。原因是软件用.zip的加密算法去匹对该压缩文件的时候，匹配失败，压缩算法不兼容。(解压完之后文件名称中文乱码的，是因为解压缩过程中用的解码算法和发布者压缩时用的编码算法不一致。你可以通过压缩软件调整解码算法。不过不影响播放音频)
