@Pseudo-Nim It's almost like the people who consume giantess content care more about the size difference than the semantics. Or they already have terms like "Growth" and "Shrink" to differentiate giantess content and don't particularly care how a few people want it to be labeled.

@ranonadg The semantics for readers are set up once, specifically when you edit My Tags. To follow semantics as an uploader is not even a hassle; it's just ignorance/arrogance stopping people from tagging galleries correctly. Secondly, not every giantess tag entails a growth tag and not every miniguy/girl entails a shrink tag. So saying that growth and shrink tags are the way to differentiate the two is incorrect. Third, the giantess and miniguy/girl tags aren't even interchangeable. Would you add the miniguy tag for skyscraper sized women playing with cars and would you add a giantess tag for normal sized women playing with ant sized guys? (both are rhetorical - the answer is no) With the two tags not meaning the same thing, this leads to situations where they are meant to be used without the other; which an example of their uniqueness is in this gallery, where giantess does not belong.

@DeepExplorer And again: the consumers of this content don't care. I don't care. If there is a woman who is bigger than everyone else, it is giantess content to us. This literally only matters to people who want to control how things are labeled. Of course it isn't universally accurate; smart people understand that this level of accuracy has no actual meaning outside of pedantry, and just about no one is searching for content that way anyways. You really think the majority of users are going to look at a gallery and say, "THAT'S not giantess content, it's just filled with giantess content but with shrunken people/naturally tiny people!" and then not consume it? (that's rhetorical - the answer is no)

Oh, I better be more accurate: when I say "terms like 'Growth' and 'Shrink' to differentiate" the "terms like" in that statement implies that those are not the only terms involved, and literally every giantess community with any sort of search function has categories for that anyway. You know what blanket term they use for ALL that content? Giantess. Because regardless of pedantry, one is clearly a giantess compared to another; this is why POV is a recognized vehicle for storytelling.

^ An intensely philosophical debate precedes me in the comments of a fetish porn above.

@ranonadg Except this site, whose tagging system has very clear definitions a single click away, and gives incentives and punishments based on tagging accuracy. Because it's not a Size Fetish site, it's a site for all sorts of porn, so tagging things correctly matters quite a bit. The "Should be able to hold a normal-sized person in one hand" tag should not be put on a shrinking story, because that's just not correct. People come here and search a tag because they wanted what that tag entails, otherwise they'd be hitting things up on the home page. Do you get mad at the grocery store because they've put all the types apples in separate containers instead of a jumble in the middle? Would you not be upset if you opened a can labelled "Green Beans" and it was full of Pinto Beans instead, who cares they're all beans?

And no, just because that's the way many size sites do it doesn't mean it's how everyone likes it. Funnily enough, the fact that it IS specifically defined on E-Hentai is a major reason to be looking for Size Fetish on here instead of a Size Fetish site. Sure, dedicated sites have more content, but I can generally find the exact thing I'm in the mood for here thanks to the accurate tagging. Most people at the very least have a preference for "person is giant" or "person is small." For some of us it's a rather strong preference, but even without that most people have a day-to-day preference of what they want today. That's the whole point of the tagging system. Some people don't want size change as part of the story, or are looking specifically for stories where there is a changing-size element, and they can't find it if the tag is full of incorrect things. Just because most of us have generally accepted that people aren't going to bother putting things away correctly doesn't mean we LIKE it. We're still here, just rarely see the point in arguing.
