This is technically a rewrite, If you want to know what the original said, go find someone who can read Korean.

The story is still very close to the original. At least as far as I can tell based on hours of playing with 4 different translators and a Korean keyboard sim. I added my own kings wherever boaring "oohs" and "Ahhs" just didn't make sense. Specially since in Korean there is literally a set of characters that describes the sound a mouth makes when stuffed. It's this by the way. 으입압

Would help to link the original or at the very least credit the artist.

Should also note that despite Korean artists often having Western artstyles, this should probably be in the Doujinshi category if the Artist only has Korean content, those categories are assigned based on nationality not artstyle.

If this artists is indeed not Western, everything bearing their artist tag will need a successful reclass.

If the nationality of the artist is the only defining factor as to what is or is not dojinshi vs western, Then I hate to break it to ya but a not insignificant amount of dojinshi's and western tagged works would need to be re-tagged.

The nationality of the artist has zero effect on whether something is dojinshi, manga or western. Only the aesthetic matters. Including layout format.

For example. These 4 panels are all read Left to Right. Which is an american / english / western thing. But by your logic, this a Manhwa. because strickly going by nationality as the soul factor. This is not a Dojinshi, manga or western.

This is a Manhwa!

Note how it clearly states "origin" instead of "artstyle" or "soul" this is because artstyle being Western or not is more of a subjective sliding scale while nationality can be defined a lot more objectively And EH really strives to be objective when it comes to tagging, with penalties (both through MP and the risk of tagging ban) in place for low tagging accuracy (as in, having a lot of your voted/started removed by downvotes) the system really isn't designed for subjective arguments.

A lot of galleries do indeed need to be reclassed, it happens often enough that someone reports an artist to the forum to have everything they did reclassed but for a lot of them the nationality is unknown and this seems to be one of them as far as I could find. "artist's native language is Korean" would imply Korean nationality but he doesn't really have much Korean content on here and having dug around a bit, I couldn't find any socials giving more reliable indication either.

There was an idea floating around to add a tag for left to right reading direction on Asian categories where it could catch people by surprise but the guy who wanted to add it literally died before he got around it and no one else has bothered to pick it up and make the suggestion official.

Mangamaster is Korean? I've always assumed he's a Westerner because of the tags. How many well known artists are there that are neither from Japan or the West, but are tagged here as the latter anyway for the simple fact they are not Japanese?

@Ryoga316

A lot actually. In recent years about a quarter of all manga / dojinshi's were actually drawn by people from continental america. As well there are a lot of Western tagged comics / art that were actually drawn by people from Japan, China & Korea.

I must remind everyone that Wiki isn't a valid source of information when speaking specifically in absolutes. Because Wiki can be edited by many people who have literally Zero understanding or factual knowledge about the subject page.

In recent years Wiki has done an amazing job at being as close to accurate as it can get. But it still has MANY wrong factoids and can use very wild and sensationalized twisted versions from Pop-media.

I changed it to Dojinshi for only two reasons.
1: someone complained.
2: Dojinshi's get a lot more viewer traffic.

I fully agree the wiki ain't perfect, there have been a bunch of cases where information has been outdated or details have been omited.

Dunno where you got the idea information is incorrect because any random idiot can edit it though. Editing rights are exclusive to a small group of maintainers and this is reflected in the public changelogs of the wiki pages. If you spot something on that page that is incorrect please report it on the forum so that someone able to edit the wiki can fix it, or fix it yourself to prove anyone can. minor fixes can just be brought up here https://forums.ehentaihip.cc/index.php?showtopic=107861&st=9940 without needing a whole new thread.

Complaints came from the fact that no artist credit (normally given through both an artist tag and our naming conventions for galleries) or link to raw was provided at the time, meaning I couldn't check how the artist was normally tagged and went with the uploader comment at the time implying the artist was Korean (with Korean artist very frequently running into this issue of "Western if categorised by artstyle, Asian if categorized by nationality", it's effectively reflex to straighten that out at this point). As far as I've seen neither category has been backed by objective information.

Now with all the random loose images added on update it looks more like an Imageset (or at least CG, as the split between Comic/Doujinshi and CG will default to the one with the most presence if both pages with panels and without panels are present).

@Glovelove.

Technically I was getting complaints before I even had time to start adding tags.

Normally I never even notice the comments section when reading other stuff on here so I'm still very new to it.
