This book was published, according to the bylines, by Samovar Books and is a re-print of the 1990s children's book based on the now widely popular Treasure Island (Остров сокровищ/Ostrov sokrovishch) from 1988. I bought it as I was interested in archiving the text and because I love the new community surrounding a really beautiful example of Soviet-era animation, so as always, I wanted to share. I hope things get better for us all one day in hindsight of things. This is a great example of Radna Sakhaltuiev's quirky, unique illustrations. I didn't scan the rest of the book as its more or less a direct re-telling of the film's plot.
