The gist seems to be that Peach became too "pop" so he lost inspiration. Why he couldn't simply ignore the requesting idiots who couldn't take a hint, I have no clue.

@Sandwich - If I were a worshiping man I would GET DOWN ON MY PHUCKING KNEES AND PRAISE YOU TILL YOU COULDN'T TAKE PRAISE NO MORE!!! Now to wait and see if there was any weight behind his complaints or if it was just simple burnout. We all win either way!

It is the guy himself; he linked to it (via one of the journal entries he posted) from the profile Sandwich17 linked to earlier. He's still fairly active, but from what I can gather from recent comments (on that site and his new DA page) I think it was either work or other obligations (and not burnout/too much Peach) that caused him to disappear for a while.
