Finally a proper coloring and not some paint bucket single layer color tone amateur coloring book nonsense. Light source/color and how it changes skin tones DO matter and not just slap #ffe0bd just because.

@guardian84 actually if you compare this with the original is pretty clear that is the same single layer color tone, tho thats called flat, usually what they forget to do next is adding the render stuff which is not the case here. I guess because Nigiri uses a lot of grays is more easy to mix such flat colors. What this colorized version has are tone graduations.

Well I admit that the artist made 90% of the work.
This is how I did it will try to make a video and post link next time

1. color was put on single layers for skin, clothes and backgroud as color layers
2. Added extra layer for pink skin as multiply
3.added a color burn layer to increase some shadows
4. Added an overlay layer to increase some highlights
5 added a screen layer for reflections
6. Added overlay layer on top with orange/blue tint just to add more colors so they wont appear flat anymore

The whole process took 5-7 hours per page

I admit that coloring shaded doujin is 1000 times easier than non shaded work plus I can change colors whener I want, I can make her blond, red haired etc. And now I am trying to figure out how to color non shaded work with almost the same techniques. I think I am about to find out how to do it !
