Let's be honest here - for most of the target audience it is.
The art of pin-up is largely forgotten, along with its real-life counterpart - the art of courtship. Opening/keeping open a door for someone in no longer a gesture of respect and admiration - it is a sexual harassment at best. And the concepts of 'instant gratification' and 'goods on demand' killed the art of teasing outright. Oh, the words are still there - they are just meaningless now. But, it the end, that's just a good business model, innit? Why bother if you can do nothing, and get paid nonetheless? True American Dream, at the core, is not to become, is to be rich, consequences be damned. Effort does not pay. Illusion of effort does. Who needs talent, after all - save for the one very specific, of course: the talent to squeeze the blood out of a stone. The rest is just a survival of the fittest. That's why we now have start-ups instead of businesses and enterprises. And that's also why we have a million of atsukis instead of someone with actual penchant for that kind of work.
