I'll explain it one more time for you dimwits. Yes, PNG is technically a lossless image format but NOT if you take a 24bit color image and save it with only 8 bit color depth. 8bit colordepth means you're using 8 bits to save the value for the color what gives 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 (that's 256) colors and not a single color more. While 24bit colordepth gives you 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 (that's around 16.7 million) colors.
Where do you idiots think your getting smother trransitions from one color to another? Hint: it's not 8bit.
Note to all who consider to commission a translation from this group: If you want a full color getting and translated and care about image quality, you better commission someone else.
