Alright, this time I figured I'd include some of the release notes with the file itself. My notes for most releases are only semi-relevant ramblings, and so relegating them to the forums I post my scans to is fine, but I felt this release could do with a little extra explanation, and since I'm sure many of you aren't getting my release straight from the source, here you go.

The Silky Whip series is made up of two separate tankboubons by Oh! Great: "Engine Room" (/g/13702/2e19d230f3/) and "Five" (/g/39551/9d6d67d385/) and in compiling this series, Studio Proteus has done some re-arranging of the chapters. Why they've done this, I can't exactly say, but my guess is it part of it was for the sake of maintaining a certain page count for each book, since they're printed in western comic magazine format (and they don't seem to want to print a book with less than 20 pages, or one with more than 36 or so). The other part is that some of the changes seem to be completely arbitrary. In case you don't feel like getting the raws for the sake of comparison, I've done this for you, so here is a breakdown of where everything comes from:

Issue 1 is chapter 1 from Engine Room
Issue 2 is chapters 2 and 3 from Engine Room
Issue 3 is part of chapter 6 from Five (the table of contents doesn't seperate this story arc into different chapters)
Issue 4 is the rest of chapter 6 from Five
Issue 5 is chapters 2 and 3 from Five
Issue 6 is chapters 4 and 5 from Five
Issue 7 is chapter 4 from Engine Room
Issue 8 is chapters 5 and 6 from Engine Room
Issue 9 is chapters 7 and 8 from Engine Room
Issue 10 is chapters 9 and 10 from Engine Room
Issue 11 is chapter 7 from Five
Issue 12 is chapter 8 from Five

Also, many of the covers come from the pinup gallery at the beginning of "Junk Story".

I've also edited in the English text into the pages that are in colour that were greyscaled for the English printing. The editing is pretty basic though, since I didn't do any of the sound effects and have left the pages unflopped. I don't believe in flipping, even if I did want to remain consistent with the English version, and I'm also not a fan of editing sound effects (both in reading, and in doing them myself).

I appreciate your extensive release notes. Its an interesting thing to read, knowing the behind the scenes decisions that scantilators or groups make.

Just cross-reading the studio proteus version with the original from engine room has a pretty fucking big difference already on the first page. That's not birds singing but cicadas crying.
If I had more time on my hands I'd do a retranslation.
