This is great, but I'm endlessly amused by the impotent rage of the author (that apparently hates the English translations with a passion) followed by the translator credits.

Maybe if we throw six bucks at 'em they won't nuke themselves out of the internet by trusting some SEA scammer or something, the work can be bought on DLsite after all.

Japanese beliefs and thoughts are pretty rigid and old fashioned. Starving artist, probably thinks translations without permissions is a loss in sales and doesn't consider that translations open up your work to an entirely new market that otherwise would have been language barried out.

Anyways, thanks for the translations! Another banger.

@RandomUser1471 I never knew the artist hated English translations. Do you have any sources on that? I would understand the hate on piracy which is a given. Personally, I almost never buy any media unless I know it’s good and whether I should buy it. Thanks to the good people that pay and share it for free. :-)

I ***try*** reading the Raw version of doujins because I feel many things get lost in translation. And that perhaps the author put a lot of effort on the dialogue/story. Because there are either direct literal translations, that don’t sound natural and then there is an "English equivalent" which is good but it would be translated a little different from translator to translator.

I mean, if nobody translated this I wouldn't know it existed. I actually supported the author for a bit, but their little tantrums are sad. Still a talented artist though and good at what they do.

This artist even block people who speak English or other language on his Twitter. This artist always looks at negative way about people translating his artwork. He should look at positive way about this that more people know about his art work the more people will support him, in other words it's free advertisements.

Of course the artist is pissed off that people are pirating their stuff lol. Can't believe some people can't understand why would that be (no, it doesn't really translate into sales and you can't live off exposure).

Having said that, thanks for the translation and I'm going to pirate this like the hypocrite I am.

"Do you have any sources on that?"

The fuck they don't. This is the internet, where misinformation is still unfortunately the status quo within many circles. It will probably remain that way forever. Assigning intent will always remain supreme, especially when there's a language barrier involved. You can just say anything without zero accountability. Don't ever trust anime fans. Not once.

@Forties what are you getting so worked up about?

Is it the fact that they claimed the author hates (English) translations with a passion? You can see the warning page on page 64 of this gallery which blatantly says they hate scanlations in particular. If you're concerned that it's added by someone other than the author, you can check other works where there's the same warning/disclaimer shown in the credits (including Raws). The author may not hate English translations specifically, but it is a fact that the warning is written in English.

"The author may not hate English translations specifically"

Then why are you so worked up about it? Honestly, you anime fans always create some kind of boogeyman because of confirmation bias and misinformation, and then help and court the lack of communication, the lack of understanding, and the lack of context with the author. The free publicity argument isn't exactly the most foolproof statement for any piece of work, since it depends on the work and it's origins itself. A lot of doujinshi artists do end up retiring and quitting due to this kind of attitude, because everyone's situation is different, especially in terms of living.

The world will always be grey. It's not an exact black & white narrative everytime.

Researching of your own accord and not believing everything you read online will honestly help everyone out tremendously with this kind of stuff. RM's contact information and his Q&A page isn't hard to find. Talk to him, and then make your decision.

Okay, I'm kinda confused.

The lady with the mole is MC granny.
MC inherited the inn since his mother passed away.
MC mother was either the daughter of MC granny or her daughter in law.

The lady with the bun hairstyle was the landlady (she didn't just manage the inn, she was the owner since her husband was the inn's heir).
The landlady was K-Ko mother, killed her own husband and once K-Ko killed herself, she took her own life as well.

K-Ko son also look a lot like the MC (minus the moles).

So I'm wondering, what kind of relationship is there between K-Ko and the MC? Are they cousins or something?

I was just trying to understand which point you were saying was misinformation specifically. I also don't understand why you're insulting "anime fans" and using it as a derogatory all things considered. I commented on you attacking people on what is pretty apparent to be a simple misunderstanding and lack of clarification.

You are correct that the author doesn't specifically mention English so there's a bit of misunderstanding. It's more likely that the author hates all scanlations due to piracy and just puts it out in writing via English as it's the more common global language. But that's also just my personal interpretation.

I could go reach out to the author on that, but I don't see a particular need to since I don't think there's that much of a difference between hating translations and hating >English< translations. We're on a pirating site in either case.

@Shiriizu Tamashi p40. you can see MC's grandmother comforting K-Ko's mother (same ribbon and hair as seen on p60.). So grandmother is not tentacle lady's daughter.

Also she addresses tentacle lady as "Land-lady" so their blood relation is in question. But then there is a question how she inherited the inn.

Well, at least it's not a family circle.

honestly if the main aint putting in the legwork to find translators he approves of why is he upset? it's a market he doesnt engage with and when i say that i mean it becaus from the sounds of it pirating is NOT his issue as the raw works are ALSO PIRATED.

if he says scanlation that it really means just the translations meaning he's angry that people he didnt make the work for are enjoying the work.

I really liked this series and it raises the bar of expectation for multi-work series and longer form storytelling in hentai. But It also is a bummer hearing about how the author feels towards translators of his works. While I fully expect all the artists and authors to hate pirating their works, if they're blocking commenters of foreign languages even if those comments are praising their works, it sours my overall feelings towards their works and them in general...
