This manga seems like to cater to both female and male fantasies that are most of the time unrealistic. It caters to women in the sense that there will be a handsome high value man for them when they're about to enter the phase in their life that their looks are about to fade, and it caters to men in regards to the classic purity fantasy. Let's face it, in real life you will rarely find woman who hasn't played the field when they're at that age and full time career woman (no judgment, just how the modern dating market is), and women who wait this long will rarely find a confident good-looking tall dependable high value guy that late in life. There are exceptions, but those don't make the rule.
