Conceptually, this is actually kind of a fresh take among the recent TS works.

It doesn't use the regular trope of personality death, and instead has the antagonist actively manipulate the protagonist during possession to act like a girlfriend and the protag later having to "reconcile" his conflicted memories and feelings when the friend releases control.

Synopsis:
Friend gets a possession app on his phone, and then proceeds to use it to possess a recently gender-changed MC who stubbornly still acts as a boy mentally. The friend uses the possession to make MC behave like (s)he has fallen for the friend, like getting him to send masturbation pics, having him create sexual encounters with the friend etc. Slowly, through the possession and release, the friend manipulates the MC to accept his role as the girlfriend.

To word the summary another way:
An outbreak of TS disease worldwide changes the MC's friend into a girl. A few days later he discovers a possession app, so he uses it to regularly possess the friend and have them wake up mid-sex. Essentially gaslighting them into thinking they subconsciously want the MC. It's also loosely stated and implied that having sex is causing the TS disease to progress more quickly, causing the friend to quickly get longer hair, better figure, larger bust, etc. Then at the end the friend wakes up standing in front of the MC's house wearing fancy lingerie and a nice dress. At that point they finally break mentally and think to themself that "if it's going to continue being hopeless and he's never going to believe or listen to me anyways, then screw it, I might as well go with it..." and gets heart-eyes and tells the MC he better not disappoint her in the pleasure department then! To which the MC responds with "Leave it to me! I know all your best spots!"
