Oh no, I just dropped this superlewd doujin of Pela. Gosh, I am so clumsy.
This is mainly just a pilot doujin to test my current skills, but I do think Pela is underrated overall. I learned a lot by doing this such as speech-bubble planning, paneling, sfx font styling, custom speech bubbles, background planning, some detail hatching, tights rendering, liquid rendering, and my current limits for lining, coloring, shading, and highlighting in general. I had like 20 tabs open full of doujins for referencing all these details, which is not a good look lmao.
I thought it wouldn't take as much time since it was in greyscale, but when you draw miniature illustrations as part of the whole--especially when they require original props like Belebog's benches and whatnot--it still takes a lot of time. I also put illustration-level detail in that last panel, which I'm fine with since it's a single page, so it needs to pack a punch. But I probably won't do that level of detail going forward unless it's a full-page panel.
I have a lot to learn, so I'll see you guys again in September.
