I'd assume that it's the kind of time travel rules you see in Kamen Rider, where it isn't exactly based in causality and is more rooted in vibes. They can't retcon themselves to be stronger, or butterfly the hero, but with the right access they can certainly cripple them (before you get into stuff like Gaim still existing as the lord and all that.)

I understand it’s porn and it’s really not worth over thinking it, but I always kind of felt like having the boss of the organization as your father would have resulted in the Hero becoming a higher rank then minion like, that really should have turned her into an elite member or something
