I don't hate the talisman angle but the whole memory thing just makes it into more generic corruption, which wastes the sensory shutdown angle. At least, in my opinion. I'd have preferred if they'd skipped the mental contamination and focused more on the purely physical contrast between her body being deeply pleasured and her inability to feel it.
