AFAIK he doesn't generate the images with AI, he uses it in post processing for shading. Which imo is a fine use of AI, not much different from putting a Photoshop filter over his stuff.

Training an AI with your own art seems like the smartest, least manipulative use of an AI. You put in all the work to get the computer to do your work for you, instead of the alternative which is ripping off of the work of other artists to get the AI to do your work for you.

I have absolutely no problem with artists who want to use AI in this manner. There's no sense working harder than you have to, but not at the expense of other people.

Kuroni was one of the OGs in the guro art space, and it's incredibly sad to see him turn to ai to speed up his process at the cost of all of the charm and soul of his art being stripped out for this uncanny shit.
