This difference between an amateur and a professional is that the professional gets paid.

If it is just a hobby, what do you care how often you get commissions? Do what you are happy to do and if you get a commission, that's a bonus. What really comes across is that you want this to be a paid job. You first need to be honest with yourself about what you want.

I swung by your site and nowhere on the front does it mention what your commission rate is, not even an average or approximation. Unless the other posts were deleted, your 'open for commissions' post was the only post you had up for four years before you said you were going to quit. (appros, saying you are about to quit is probably a good way to ensure people go somewhere else) You haven't even gotten yourself listed as a translator in the forums here. You want paid work, you need to market yourself. Do you know anyone who is making a living doing translations? You might try picking their brain a bit.

You ought to seriously vet your business model first and decide if this is going to still be a hobby or if you want this to be a job. Be aware, pretty much all subscription models expect production on a schedule. It largely stops being a hobby at that point. If you haven't already, sit down and clock yourself doing 100 pages of doujin & 100 pages of CG (not all the same CG set) to get a good idea of how long each page takes you, along with any costs you incur along the way. Take that and your hourly rate that you'll at least be content with, add at least 20%-50%, and you will know how much to charge per page. (A good idea anyway, properly deciding on a rate is too complicated a topic for here) None of this obliviates the need for marketing yourself if you want this to be more than just a hobby.

If you try the subscription route, your account would most likely need to focus on a niche. A niche more specialized than just CG, as people are generally not going to want to pay for work they aren't interested in. You could have multiple accounts, for multiple revenue streams, but that also means multiple deadlines. You also might consider something other that Patreon, as their cut is rather large and they are not adult-friendly. Also, you need to look into the copywrite laws in your jurisdiction as well as any subscription site you try to sell your work through. Individuals generally will be ignored, but a company hosting you is unlikely to ignore it once they know about it.

Also, don't forget there are a veritable plethora of scanlation groups that you could join. Everyone is hungry for (good) translators. You don't have to start your own.
