While this is impressive on a technical level, this seems like just one step above those pictures where someone photoshopped a celebrity's face onto a porn actor/actress's body.

I play around with stable diffusion myself. This feels like AI art, but it's too high quality for that, so I assume the artist took AI generated images as a base and hen edited them. I wouldn't be able to make many of these poses with AI. Or maybe they just run a later version of stable diffusion.
(Btw I don't upload AI stuff anywhere or consider myself an artist for using one, it's just something I play around with with friends)

As much as I'm a fan of AI pictures and the constant amount of new tricks being discovered for it, I feel like the reason why we collectively visit specific repositories like sadpanda for example is to have some level of quality control. AI image generation has led to creating a veritable wasteland of wideranging quality problems, and nobody wants to deal with that for the same reason why "Made with Unity" was a seen as a mark on shame on many games for years. Would it ultimately be worth it to have some kind of repo where the high quality stuff gets curated? Probably. Would it be a hell of a lot of effort and at risk of having compromised integrity due to personal interest? Very likely.

It's fascinating how easy it is to tell at this point something is AI art, even when cleaned up. There's a certain kind of rigid perfectionism of form, consistency of repetition, and undefinable stiffness to the images that doesn't resemble most real working artists' body of work when taken as a whole. Maybe this will change and AI will learn or increase the minor imperfections and quirks that make real artists stand out and distinguishable, while reducing the hilarious glaring amateur flaws that plague it right now... actually I'm sure that will happen since what it's doing right now was already unthinkable years ago. However, my hope is that people grow tired of the flood of over rendered art, AI products that devalue the work of humans, and in the future, come to appreciate the charms of human made works even if they are at a lower technical skill level, the way photography didn't replace painting. I also hope artists will challenge themselves like never before, not just in terms of technical skill level since we can see AI has rendered that moot, but in terms of ideas, content, concept and design that no just any joe can prompt into the AI and get. It's the only way human artists will survive, to find and carve out that space AI cannot easily reach, whatever that may be.

The best way to see the AI in this gallery seems to be looking at the eyes. A lot of times there is a lack of definition that leads to horizontal pupils or just water pools of color.
