@ Confussed-Oddish Only if you live in France, Japan, U.S.A., UK and maybe Islamic countryes. I know that in U.S.A. the surname change is automatic, while in Japan you can choose if doing it or not. My aunt had lived for about 30 years and had to fight to be called with her real surname. I always find exhilarating that U.S. feminists fight against patriarchy but are so enthusiastics to lose their surnames through marriage.
