You know, this would make a bit more sense if she actually was a literal cow in the beginning. Then, the male protag sees her as a girl after putting on the headband and then it's implied that he only sees her as a girl. This is just weird seeing her as a human the whole time but having the human characters identify her as a different species. Especially when it got to the baby (he was really cute tho.). Of course, that would have given this a "bestiality" tag.
Or maybe this is some weird alternate universe where animals (or at least mammals) are sexy anime chicks in swimsuits. If that were the case, I'd have liked it if this was played up more, or at least conveyed better.

Overall, It was an odd read with a cute ending.
