I didn't tag it myself this time, but I do support the practice.
I think the mindset behind tagging "female:mother" with Mom NTR, even if the son isn't sexually involved, is because the female being a mother is integral to the entire plot, and helps Mom NTR fans find a rather niche genre more easily on the site.
IMO the "female:mother" tag ought to be updated to reflect this, since the major issue is the tag "female:milf" is too broad and, per the tag definition, "Does not need to be a mother."
So if you wanted to find a story in this particular genre, niche as it may be but one that definitely exists, "female:milf, female:netorare" isn't reliable since the majority of what you'll find is regular wife NTR, oftentimes childless. There's no way to narrow it down via tags, as far as I know.
Whereas if we were to use this system of also tagging "female:mother" with non-incestual Mom NTR works, if you were looking for Momcest you'd only need to include the "mixed:incest," tags to hide any non-incest works, and vice versa. Plus, on sites like Fanza or DLsite, mother (母親) is often in the tags as well with non-incestual Mom NTR works so I assume in some cases there are people who take those into account when adding tags to their uploads.
There are many things wrong with this site, like the coordinated group of people who incorrectly romanise titles for moderation power or whatever, that should be higher on your list of priorities than policing the "female:mother" tag, even if it's with good intentions.

I fully understand your points, and that we do need a lot more moderation and fixes to this site sorely. I am very well aware of needing to tag "mixed:incest", but you need to also remember that the cases where like in this comic, it's not fair to either of us to tag "mother" as both DLSite and Fanza's definitions and e-hentai's are both different. Even on our side (Japan), we are trying to get them to separate the tags into Mother(母親), Mother-in-law/Step-mother(義母), Friend's Mother(友母), Mother NTR(母NTR), with little going for us. I'm simply reminding you guys that it would simply be great if we can work something out that fits both of our needs.

Perhaps a "female:mother" and "female:mother(NTR)" tag would do well? Though I myself am not certain how to get this across to the admins.
