This is my personal favorite because I really dislike the tsundere trope characters, especially Naru from Love Hina or Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Though I do wonder if there should be like a sequel where these characters improves themselves as well?

Actively taking another route because someone else objects....That's extreme. Not 'doormat' but that would set bullying/attack alarms off from anyone who heard about it or saw it. Now, that was a point where a 'Tsundere' would start with the 'dere'-trying to keep them walking together by some excuse or some incident would keep them walking together. This one did not and could not.

It's....often forgotten. There has to be something to keep them there. The 'tsun' has to be balanced with the 'dere'-the 'Nice' with the 'wrath and anger'. There's also the fact that in most of the shows where the type exists, there's something forcing them together, giving time for, depending on how you see it, resistance to break down or he sees the nice under the wrath and decides 'I want that nice girl'.
