Sadly, yes. I'm unable to afford a drawing tablet as of now, so have to keep using AI and only draw some details like merging images from parts (like the lower frame on page 6 is made of two images) and redrawing the details like fingers and eyes, until I'm able to afford it. Yeah, surrogacy is pretty damn expensive. To have a woman be an egg donor, carry a pregnancy to term, and legally waive all parental rights to the child used to cost about 100K for the man who wanted a kid of his own. @preaplanes i mean, pregnancy is pretty heavy on the body so you essentially compensate for medical bills as well as potential yearly salary(us standard) +.service cost itself + tax. Getting a surrogacy from different country is much cheaper. Also adoption is a thing and free to boot.
