The days where hussars were still heavy cavalry (not counting Polish ones who kept being heavy), at the time Mongols were finally kicked out of China, and start of the Reformation wars? End of Medieval is really interesring period to place magical fiction into because of just how much was hapening and how quickly the technology started to advance , and also very risky for the same reasons(one of the reasons Avatar:tLK fell over was because the timeskip glossed over and made the fast in series technological progress even less believable than it was in real life, where it was even faster) Writing a changing world will be really hard, if that's the inpiration/planned effect
