Text on the Ema:"This year I will confess to Tomoya" Ema (絵馬) are small wooden plaques, common to Japan, in which Shinto and Buddhist worshippers write prayers or wishes. Ema are left hanging up at the shrine, where the kami (spirits or gods) are believed to receive them. Too bad the one she wrote her wish on is cursed, and now she's paying the price for her mistake stuck being an ema for eternity and being the source of magical power for the fallen goddess of the abandoned shrine.
