Looking over these, they're kind of weird. For example, the stuff that happens to the guys is way less severe than what happens to the girls. For the guys, we have one getting rejected by all the girls, but it ends on a sort of hopeful note that he's still got his life ahead of him, one that gets molested by mistake, getting beat up by other guys, a guy dealing with owning a cat but bigger, and a guy who loses his job and has issues getting his dick hard. The worst one, absolutely, is the guy who kills himself out of depression, and I have no intention of minimizing how terrible that is, but it's also in context of the girl, rather than the focus being on him specifically. Meanwhile, the women face long term depression that's destroyed their life for being emotionally immature in school, being threatened with execution and dealing with the trauma of unintentionally forcing someone they like/love into suicide. And two of these aren't played for any humor at all, they are intended to be solely depressing, and not without the kind of closure the male focused ones have. Hell, looking at it more, the first one is likely the one that bothers me the most, because the girl's basically guilty of nothing but being kind of a jerk as a kid, and the ending of her story suggests that in doing so she ruined her entire life.

I don't intend for this to be some terrible judgement from on high, just looking at what's going on and curious why the choices were made.

i get what you're saying but honestly that comes down to the tropes found in dojin, anime, and manga. like think about it, female characters are allowed to get away with a wide variety of nonsense evident by the myriad of character tropes almost exclusively used for female characters. when you look at male characters while it wouldnt be correct to say they have little variety the truth is the OUTCOME of male behavior is rather simple and straight forward... or at least we think of it that way

like take the pervert character or NTR bull. what exactly do you think should happen to them? more often than not the answer would be "beat them up" and so it is so. you could also have their plans fail and them be humiliated but that already does happen while repercussions for female character tropes arent common especially the "beat them up" kinda response

all this to say the artist probably just followed such thought processes as it's a natural one to have if you start thinking "this behavior is bad/ stupid and much like the media that inspires it the punishment is metered out disproportionately in relation to favor

@igmas Looking these over, the conclusion that 'the women get it worse' is likely an outgrowth of biases more than anything else. The women only really get two bad ends (3 if you count the double bad end of Bully) out of ten. The first one's 'life being ruined' would really only be due to her steadfast refusal to learn and/or grow.

Seeing the 'forcing someone they like/love into suicide' as the primary bad end of Bully is... interesting. The whole story is told from his perspective (save the last panel), so why would someone choose her as the focus? We might learn something by reversing the roles; Guy has the girl he likes repeatedly beaten up by his friends. He then follows her to the one place she perceives as refuge and torments/humiliates her there. Despite all this mistreatment she still has feelings for him, she confesses, is cruelly rejected, after which she kills herself. Is the abuser still receiving the primary bad end or is it the person suffering from something akin to Stockholm Syndrome? A compare-and-contrast of this story with the first one would also be an interesting exercise.
