Author used Ebino, the most popular character in the polls, to keep readers baited to keep reading (like Nisekoi otters).

At the end she gets rejected twice by MC, showing she never had a chance (I.e. she's the one getting cucked hard). Author even made a time skip, other characters showing life's keeps moving on except Ebino who is still single, she wasn't allowed to move on by the author. Btw same author as Boy's Abyss.
