About the quotation marks, I use them to differentiate spoken text outside of speech bubbles. Compare and contrast with sfx, thoughts (in parentheses) and random moans.
They might be unnecessary, at least in this work, but since the original work uses 「」 marks which serve the same function in japanese, I've ultimately decided to keep using them.
