so from my understanding on a crash course on this meme....

The family had two younger sisters (the super small ones) and the mom feeds them the stalk they were born from as a treat. The older sister gets mad at that, and tries to get a stalk herself and takes it out on the little one. But stalks only happen during pregnancies, and I think she unknowingly assaults her younger sister creating a stalk. In this universe, that kills the victim. Therefore, her father walls her up as murder is a death sentence. Shes then found by a predator Yukkuri, who flies her off to be eaten. The dad finds the hole, remarking that it reminds them of something, but doesnt know what, since yukkuris are very gullible and forgetful (the mom immediately forgot about the smaller reimu when the dad lied about two kids being born).

Also Chris299 is correct, the Yukkuri universe is full of morbid stories, and its basically 24/7 death for the yukkuris even in captivity.
