I get so annoyed at how stupid the heroes are in these types of stories. Not that it really matters. They could be the most observant, powerful, and brilliant people that ever lived, and it wouldn't matter. The author wants the villain to win, so the villain is going to act smug, and automatically win with his bullshit cheat ability. I hate how the heroes were smart enough to sense evil and plan to exorcise their friend, but were too stupid to prepare for any anything else. And they choose to confront their friend while naked, with no weapons. When the exorcism failed, the lizard even revealed how he was possessing their friend. If they had their weapons with them, they could have chopped off the tail. Instead, the villain announces his plan to posses the hero. And the hero just stands there with her mouth open, and lets it happen. It's as if these people are all level one and never fought a single battle. If you're going to have the bad guy win, at least make it more of a challenge. It's like the villain is always fighting against small children or the mentally handicapped. And then the villain always brags afterwards. As if it's some great accomplishment defeating mentally handicapped morons.

I also hate how the characters think they can resist being possessed. There is no resisting. No effort, no struggle. The stupid fucking gecko just instantly wins. The author needs to nerf his ability. The stories are boring. You know right away the gecko is going to win.
