AI translations as for my experience is also decent but you still need to proofread and check for errors. Some people already use chatgpt to translate even in mangadex some would recommend it for translations but its not really that perfect.I dont know for ero-doujins though since most of the script is really lewd and feeding it on AI like chatgpt would net you a breach of use and wont show the translated script.

Except the amount of effort you need to put in to make an MTL look like a genuine translation is roughly the same as just doing a genuine translation with low JP competency. That's why these are all so lazy and unreadable.
It's possible that one day AI can clear enough hurdles that it perfectly OCRs scripts in their totality and even analyze all of a manga's art for proper context, but those are expensive goals too impractical for its developers to focus on.
