So look, I don't HATE HATE MTL. Translations have noticeably slowed down over the last couple years, some of the best groups that used to do TL's for free are now long gone...I get it. But for the love of fucking god why are you MTL'ing C103 shit, it hasn't even been out a fucking year now. It probably hasn't even been scanned for more than a few months now, there is still a very solid chance it could get translated, and you just fucked that up. It's one thing to MTL some C95 book that had obviously been forgotten, but it's a whole nother thing to fucking deface brand new content before most translators or potential commissioners had even really taken a look at it.

@Notalent: If translators want to translate something they do it... Do you think it will stop them from translating because there is a MTL? Nop... as example of lastest Remu translation is prove of that.

What you can say is the old era of free translations is now over pretty much... you either pay or keep waiting for a group pick up to translate for free as hobby.

Bad example. That was translated on doujins.com, and posted on there same day as the MTL, they had already been translating it. They're not likely to drop something that's almost done. Seeing a translation, even a bad translation, is going to discourage some people from starting. If they have several projects they're considering, do you think they'll go for the one with a shitty translation or one with no translation?

@Yuskeshaman: If I was a translator and loved certain artists and if there was already MTL believe me I would still translate the works of my favorite artists to proper translation. So why can't those groups do the same?
The other point I agree to some extend though. If there is already something decent I could skip for now and work on other without anything and then pick that one in the end.... but as being MTL is the same of not existing right? So what I said above stands.
