FYI it has always been my policy not to post my rewrites on this site. I only posted them on my site with my own fileshare links. But as someone, huhummm, has attacked those links. I will start posting every rewrite I do here myself. Awing doesn't post all my rewrites so those of you who hate them prepare for even more. Don't hate me for it. Hate the person who decided to attack me. I will post them here so that my "fans" and yes I do have a lot of them, have a place to download my work. I wanted that to be my little corner of the internet that only people who really wanted to see it would come but some jerk ruined that for me and for you. sorry marconii I know you will especially be disturbed by this. Like I said I never intended to ever post my stuff on her but it is what whomever attacked my links has caused. If the attacks stop so will my posts on here.

I have always found it hilarious when people claim to not care about something, like a television program; and yet, when someone says something that they don't like about said program, they go ballistic, and bitterly defending the program that they "don't care about" making great use of the various logical fallacies at their disposal, whether it's marconii2002's, TheTwatto's, and the Maggota's usage of the appeal to ridicule fallacy, or their usage of circular logic and tautology to insult people who rewrite these things.

It wouldn't surprise me if these three and like minded individuals don't raise a tiff when crooked politicians rewrite the truth (and get away with it) on a daily basis. Then again, I doubt they lack the mental acuity to make sound arguments.

Perhaps people dislike rewrites because quite often rewrites wholly fail to interpret the original story (which is, of course, why they're rewrites) but on top of that, whether directly because the rewrite was submitted before the official translation or not, most times the official translation is never done for the drop. That said, a number of times the rewrite doesn't make sense in the context of the drop provided; what a rewrittencharacter says won't necessarily match up with the character's expression, some relating issue/statement that's addressed in the original 'story', or action that's taking place.

That said, only commenting on this because someone (you) asked why (some) people complain about rewrites. As for why those whining about it often don't go out of the way to learn another language to do the translation themselves 'properly', I'm just going to refer you to some of CGRascal's works. Some make sense and some don't, and some people appreciate that he did it to begin with while others hate him for 'butchering' it since that does cause better translators to not bother submitting said better translation, since "there's already one out" and all. Because, y'know, people have the ability to get a gallery expunged if there's already a version (almost liberally 'regardless of quality') on-site.
