being overly-analytical i see it as the underlying issue of a loser Isekai-ing. a loser would TOTALLY be willing to grind out stats if they saw immediate or tangible returns... but in the absence of those short term insentives a loser would be indecisive and unwilling to take steps that require courage

a loser that's OP or has the unlimited potential to grind might becom a better person at the end of the journey but people in this guy's shoes kinda need to be a better person in the short term lest they lose their bitches or something equivalent
