A part of the purchases I made from M post my trip to Hyogo. This is a part of a very large collection of fanzines and ephemera from the estate of his late friend, who was an integral member of the original Raideen Fan Club. These items were entrusted to me on the basis that I get them out to the public, so I began with the first issue from the Akira Kamiya Fan Club's official Raideen book, which was a joint venture with the RFC. This booklet was published many years after Raideen's original broadcast in October of 1978, two years prior to Tadao Nagahama's untimely death. This particular book has some important interviews with Akira Kamiya, Makio Inoue and Osamu Ichikawa alongside direct interviews with Tadao Nagahama & Norio Shioyama to name a few others.
This particular estate is very massive and there are lots of artifacts, some directly very personal, so I am working hard with M and even a friend who's a museum curator on how to properly get some of them archived. Its probably the most important collection of works I've had the privilege to being able to archive recently, but its been an arduous task.
This fan book was also officially funded in part from Sunrise in the bylines alongside other benefactors, which shows in the very succinct, clean nature of the editing and publishing. Lots of love went into this text, and it shows.
