Has nothing to do with "those damn Asians" rofl. There's tons of highly voted non-Asian sets, like Hidori Rose or Yoshinobi for example. The only problem with this set is that Shirogane's face really doesn't lend itself to cosplaying anime girls. Her sets tend to get mediocre favorite counts and ratings because of this. This one is a bit higher because it has Vinnegal in it.

Outside of her rabid 4chan fanbase, I don't see many people caring about her.

Shiro is the best Asuka cosplayer in the world and no one else comes close. Her getting downvoted regularly has nothing to do with race, but because she doesn't do nudity. The truth is, we live in an unjust world. Many fappers refuse to believe a cosplay gallery could be 5 stars without nudity. That's basically 80% of all the Asuka cosplayers lmao. But he is right on nude part rating stuff regardless of race since nude or partially nude tends to get higher stars.
Or I could even say 100% since she is fictional character so you can't really compare. Plus she is 14 years old. You can't compare her facial features to one of cosplayer who is also older and real person. The only real thing you can authentically do as cosplayer is to be the right color, race and no nudes when cosplaying Asuka, and that is true for most fictional characters. But for obvious reasons this can't be always achieved so it is expected to not be authentic.

That's not really a comparison since both Hidori Rose and Yoshinobi do nudes and Hidori even do porn lmao. Like I said before ''nude'' has a lot to do with ratings. If Shirogane sama did nudes you can bet she would have a higher ratings. It's like you said about higher rating, because of Vinnegal but Vinnegal also does topless so this is also something that must be taken into account for higher rating here. As for Shirogane face I could just the same said about Vinnegal but I won't. We all have our own views and preferences on this matter like you said.

Shiro has objectively the best Shadowheart cosplay I've ever seen and yet it has 3 stars. Add one star if she was Asian, and add another if she was nude. Byoru and Hana Bunny, who look nothing like Shadowheart, get 4 to 4.5 stars. That's just how this site works. It's hilariously dumb.

@Codjumper That's not how cosplaying or art works. Asuka isn't a real person and doesn't have all the features that would exist in reality, but she has an actual physical appearance that can be approximated more or less closely to a real person. For example, she has a tear-drop shaped face, eyes that are considerably far apart, a small, low nose, and soft, shallow-set features. Shirogane has a rectangular face, eyes that are close together, a prominent nose, and deep-set features with a prominent brow ridge. By any reasonable metric, she doesn't really look anything like Asuka. That's the reason why outside of 4chan/western hentai bros hivemind she doesn't get much regard.

Thanks for explanation that's pretty in deep description. But if we apply this than this means there are a big number of cosplayers that also don't meet this criteria and that's why I don't really bother much with this. I mean I can agree on the face analysis but even if face isn't exactly like you described why would cosplayer be discouraged by it? I have seen plenty of Asuka cosplays and most are meh only to serve fanservice which is fine I guess but I did also came across some non nude typical school uniform ones which were actually pretty decent even if the face wasnt what you explained about Shirogane. What I'm telling here is that Shirogane does okayish cosplays regardless of her face looks. Oh and 4chan/western henta what is going on there, cosplay fan wars haha?

1. Mate, Asuka is canonically only 1/4th JP. The rest is 1/4 German, and 1/2 mystery American white. Which is usually Brit or German as well. Having more western features like a stronger jawline than eastern is more realistic. On the other hand, take the faces of Rei, Asuka, and Mari, Then compare them and see just how similar they all are shape wise. That's style bias. Which means the art isn't actually considering ethnic origins at all.

2. You're doing the same thing as saying "I ain't racist, but..." "Asuka isn't a real person, but...". You say you can't compare anime art direction to how people are IRL, but then you do exactly that.

3. cosplay, short for costume play. Anyone can dress as anyone. The acting and costume itself should be the main factor of rating. But THIS is a hentai site, so I accept hotness of wamen, and nudity to change the score. I'd rate this gallery lower than usual because it's out of order, there's dups, and it's a hentai site, I do like me some more nudity than what was delivered.
