Get it through your subhuman heads already that if you can't read japanese fluently, or at all, YOU SHOULD NOT BE TRANSLATING ANYTHING. Either COMISSION a proper translators or fully and properly learn the language to translate it yourself. MACHINE TRANSLATIONS ARE WORTHLESS.

I read it through more thoroughly comparing it with the Japanese original (which I speak at intermediate level) and to my mind the translation remains solid. I am pretty sure no one would had realized this utilized MTL if the translator had not spilled the beans himself. Couldn't at least come up with anything to fix; there is always artistic license to translating (even using MTL assistance) after all. The typesetting etc. were good as well.

To be honest, I was surprised the other comments were such cryhards about the MTL, I made sure it wasn't subpar and that it followed the original meaning to a certain extent. I'm not a native japanese speaker though, so it can't be 100% accurate but even so, I thought it'd be passable and not a point of such contention. I mean you see it in sfw manga fan translations all the time now (even if they don't outright say so, there are certain ticks that are recognizable). But I guess the peeps here are purists with very high standards when they didn't even bother reading it before crying about it lmao. I guess saying it was MTL gets you insta hate no matter the quality.

Comparing a few pages to raws, the MTL seems fine to me, it's porn so criticizing every word choice is a waste of time. Typesetting is good.

@henta1lover0 honestly this is probably the best machine based translation I've seen, and definitely the gold standard for how it *should* be done. I'm sure if it was all this good from the beginning EH wouldn't be so toxic towards it, but everyone's just got a bad taste in their mouth. Clearly you didn't just slap on an unedited MTL and call it a day, so thanks for sharing something you put effort into.

Also, I think the font size is pretty good, not overly large.

As commented by BLWine; the grand majority of otaku, who just want to enjoy hentai and not treat it as a super srs bzns likely agree with this sentiment, as do I. The ones that don't tend to be the "so called professionals" themselves. Completely crap translations, we all know them, are one thing - translations that convey the story are another. I hope you do more manga as well OP.

@JeffersonTL~ the only point I disagree on is that when I check the majority of ppl who hate on even good quality mtl are people who don’t seem to do any translation themselves. Not pros, just entitled karens. Don’t get me wrong btw, I don’t think no effort mtl should usually be posted. But ones of this quality that are literally better than some of the old style of translation are totally worth posting. I’m hard in the 80% is better than nothing camp.

Though that being said, I’ll admit I’m not a fan of changing the font color of moans/sfx to red or pink. I think portraying the feel of the original where possible is the way to go. Some things need tweaks during translation obviously, but where possible maintaining the original context matters imo.

Back to good stuff in this translation, I’ll also give additional kudos for maintaining the honorifics! A lot of people trying to make their translations look “professional” just drop honorifics without replacing the missing context with anything at all. Frankly, English is a hard language to replace them in anyways. So in the vast majority of situations where they have been removed, set least a couple of situations getting their meaning either blurred or straight up changed thanks to their removal, so good job on that. I’m pretty sure that some machine translators even remove them by default, so did you find the ones that didn’t? Or did you check manually?

@ xarrawr I did the colored font just because, I just wanted to give it some more impact I guess but you're right, staying true to the original is the best. For the honorifics I just did them manually since they're important and I hate it when they get removed in official translations.

Yeah, >90% of the time it's no effort MTL slop with no effort put into making it even remotely look like actual English and practically no editing done.... but then every once in a while you find the rare one like this where it's clear some actual work and effort went into it and I, for one, appreciate having this over no TL at all or the typical zero effort garbage.

Could it be better? Sure. Am I gonna bitch about it when it's clear effort got put into it and we're already all reading this for free here? Hell no. Good on you for putting some work into it so we have something other than the shitshow the previous "translation" of this was.
