I don't mind dudes running patreon for AI shit it's just literally none of it is worth paying for. This is basically people making Koikatsu cards part 2 where some people genuinely go balls deep and full ass effort with custom meshes and textures, and some people just slap together some badly clipping twintails with some goth makeup and that's apparently enough to get enough westernkeks to pay $5 a month. Theres like a 3-4 dudes that I follow that make genuinely cool AI shit, and none of them run patreons. Difference between doing it for the sake of being something you enjoy and doing it for the grift. I'd say it'd get better as time went on but the problem is the technology is progressing so fast every time a major SD update comes out the base quality level is raised again.

Edit: Speaking of marketing shit on a plate as genuine experience, kinda reminds me the futa/shemale conflaters got substantially worse in the last few years, primarily at around 2022 when stable diffusion really blew up with the NAI V1 leak. It really doesn't seem to matter to most people. As long as it's girl shaped and has a dick, they are fine with calling it whatever. Maybe because it's just about the end result?

The Futa/Shemale thing, to my mind at least, is more important in a story context since its more of an origin descriptor. Futas are typically born Futas. Shemales are typically converted males. That matters in a story, not so much in an image set.

I hate to say these are good but some of these are. Like its depressing as an artist that someone who had little to no passion for learning to create art will pump out images that look good with ONLY the desire to make money as their motivation. Artists do monetize themselves sure, but commonly they build up their skills and confidence before sticking out their hand and asking to paid for their effort. When you pay for this art, you art paying for someone to repackage fast food and call it homecooking.
