Ehh, that page 8 box is just an oddball case, so don’t beat yourself up over it or anything.

Anyway, I think it merits translation, and here’s why.

Basically, it all comes down to how the text box looks. First, it covers the art up enough that it makes you wonder if it’s important. Second, the font itself makes it look like regular dialogue. The font is normal sized, typed in rather than drawn, and doesn’t have any odd artistic flairs or anything. Third, similar boxes with short dialogue are translated. Bottom-left corner of page 10 is a good example. Basically, for someone with zero knowledge of Japanese, it bears all the hallmarks of a missed dialogue box. They have no idea it’s just a moan. It could be a random moan she made (あん), she could be commenting on his dick (大きい), whatever. It looks like it was mistakenly skipped, so people are gonna wonder what she said.

For a contrast, check out page 6’s untranslated boxes. No one commented on it there because they’re obviously moans. The font is big, inconsistently sized, and bleeds outside the box—hallmarks of sex sounds. The context clues tell us most of what we need to know, no translation required.

That said, it’s not a huge deal or anything. I’d say just check in with yourself when translating: If you didn’t know any Japanese, does it look like a regular dialogue box or a sex sounds box? It’s a skill that gets easier with practice, so don’t worry if you mess it up the first few tries.
