My personal head canon: Double Trouble would switch genitals depending on if they want to be on top or on bottom. But sometimes they would switch around to be different.

It wasn't just the "She-Ra looked like Ben 10 in drag" art style the other guy mentioned, but the rest of the show's art style that people had issues with. While the background had nice visuals, all the characters in the reboot looked blocky and generic, as if someone was trying to make Avatar: The Last Airbender fan art while mixing some Steven Universe but took out the basic human anatomy and consistency only to come out flat. It did fit the show's fanfic-y shipping war method of writing, though. On the other hand, this artwork is much better, so much on an improvement and not an eyesore.

@ Demonking45 I heard that was the Cal art school type of art style. It's common and seems to be cheap. While the background visuals are beautiful. The characters stand out a lot on the background. And I guess that is the point.

@anjealous It is, but that's the problem with the Cal Art style. Sometimes, the cheapness of the artwork can also reflect the mediocrity of the dialogue and exposition of the show. Meanwhile, when it comes to quantity over quality, more talented artists are deprived of work and a chance to shine as well.

You know, I'm not that surprise my comments on how crude and mediocre the show's art and writing was, and that this rule34 artwork is 10 times better are getting downvoted. Whenever there's She-Ra 2018 artwork, whether it's on deviant art or rule34, there's always going to be She-Ra fanatics stalking these comment sections. Predictably, they would hate opinions that don't correlate with their own.
