There are some story differences from the original: Lilith originally didn’t plan to feminize Leona, but his lewd behavior changed that. Lilith is now more direct about him becoming a girl for WP, and Leona is noticeably more lewd from the start. After nearly two years of working on WP, revisiting and remaking the beginning was a lot of fun!

I think the changes are a bit too much.

Lilith being more obvious about her desires to the audience is fine. But I feel she is too direct with Leon. Doing it that way pushes the believably of the scenario beyond acceptable limits.

It also changes the characterization of Leon more than one might think. Which also makes it harder for the reader to sympathize with Leon's troubles. Or root for him. Because he changes from some ordinary horny boy that is just a little too trusting, especially when aroused, to an absolute moron with no agency.

Even more so when he puts on the lingerie. That pushes him from ordinary horny boy, into a disgusting degenerate, that fully deserves everything that is going to happen to him.

It also changes the evaluation of his mental strength. He no longer is the boy who will try to firmly hold onto his identity. And push back to try and maintain his male identity. With this start it is now a question, why he is even resisting? He could get more degenerate pleasure if he just goes along with everything. Why is he holding back? He has no inherit reason to not now. At least before, he was an ordinary boy, so it made sense that he wouldn't want the changes and resist along the way. The reader hoping he at least retains some of his older self.

But now? The reader will either root for his fall or question why he is resisting so much.

As a result, I do believe the original is simply a "better" version for the start. This version just tips too many dominoes and ruins the later parts. Recons are hard. I do believe you can make a "better" version for the start of the story, but this unintentionally butchers things too much.
