@codwaw1 I think Vanishing Reality is pretty different from Love Mary so far. A lot more focus on how the heroine's powers work and how the villain takes advantage of that to corrupt her, it makes it more about setup and payoff (and my opinion, more satisfying as corruption) than Love Mary's simple "rape her until she breaks" approach. I'm not saying Love Mary isn't good, it's amazing and I agree it's still Satou Kuuki's best work, but I don't think it's "the same damn manga".

@codwaw1 you just don't like corruption anymore, as you yourself said. Which is fine and all but I just can't help but wonder what are you even looking for here? As with any fetish, you either like it or you don't. I don't get why people keep complaining about fetish-focused artists doing things they're known for and probably enjoy doing (considering he always did this stuff even before getting big), for an audience that likes it, instead of pivoting to something else that just risks alienating their audience (and may not be as appealing to him).

Satou Kuuki has done Idol NTR stuff and Magical girl corruption stuff since the beginning of his career, I think it's a fool's errand expecting him to do anything else but iterate and do different things within the confines of those genres and of the tropes he likes to employ in his stories. And to me at least he's been delivering enough quality within those confines.

Even with the more similar Elementia, I think Vanishing Reality improves on what was done there, by going into more detail on how the powers work and them being subverted by the villain playing a part in the sex scenes themselves with the streaming stuff instead of being just a part of the background lore like it was in those games, and with the pacing being much better in general (Elementia's middle portion feels super stretched out due to the need of padding out the VN). And Elementia was over 7 years ago, I think he's allowed a re-do of that general template at this point, if he can improve on it like this. In your original post you talked like he's been pumping this kind of work yearly.

@Skill_Animation I completely agree with your 4th point, that's my major grievance with the chapter too, not only the boy turning into a magical girl but also Seren becoming the monster's wife. I said Vanishing Reality wasn't that similar to Love Mary but that point at the very end is VERY similar (there are small differences, but I won't argue for them). I'll do a mea culpa here and say I had not finished reading this chapter when I made that comment. I was about two-thirds in and had no reason to believe it would get that similar. I knew Kaoru was the second magical girl so I did expect some similarities but not to that extent. I stand by my claim that up to that point it was not that similar to Love Mary, but that part? Yeah the mangaka wants to do that dynamic between the corrupted girl and the "former boy" again in the next chapter.

As for 2 and 3, I think I can help clear out some of the confusion. The previous chapter established the monster needed a vessel to act outside the VaiR, and that he was targeting Kaoru to make him that vessel because he's compatible. The cousin, being a blood relative, was also a compatible vessel and got taken over by him offscreen. That solves both the issue of the monster needing a vessel to go to the human world and of making Kaoru available for corruption in the next chapter.

As for the flashback scene. There's only one encounter with the cousin/monster in disguise. Seren realizes when she's giving him a blowjob that she knows that dick, and so she remembers that she's been trained and brainwashed for weeks, and that's when the flashback comes as she recovers her memories (at the start her memories come back confused, which is why she first sees herself having sex with the human cousin for one page before the next shows she having sex with the monster in the same pose). After the flashback ends the scene just continues from where it left off with the monster revealing the cousin was him all along (that's when he gives the explanation I started with, I explained things in a way that basically ruins the build-up to the twist lol). I do agree it's obvious this whole subplot exists because Satou Kuuki wanted to have some human NTR (even if it was all a ruse in the end), but it does serve a purpose in the story by tying up the loose plot threads I mentioned and progressing the villain's plan (as he moves on from using Kaoru as a vessel to using him as the "final push" to make Seren fall instead) so I don't mind it. He wrote it into the story cleverly enough. I think it's also meant to show Seren's newly imprinted lewdness in action, as it would otherwise be just something stated during the brainwashing but never shown if she was just raped by monsters until her fall.

But... Almost every Satou Kuuki work is netorare. Love Mary is Netorare up to the point the boy is corrupted too, this will probably go the same route. Elementia is netorare. Netokano is self-explanatory. Even his shipgirl stuff has a "betraying the admiral" thing going on, though it's downplayed. None of those are about idols, most of them are corruption, and they're all also netorare. It's not really a surprise.
