How the fuck is Palcomix still around? I swear the art has only gotten worse over the last decade and change. The only shit that looks half decent is the Mobius stuff.

The quality slips there too, if the artist isn't feeling the content/script. Their business model has definitely shifted to a more quantity over quality model, and honestly that is probably for the best. There is still some half decent stuff hidden behind paywalls, but that's normal everywhere nowadays. They had some real rough patches too. The outright DISDAIN displayed to the FiM fandom when it could have been a cash-cow for them; those day were quite a spectacle to witness, followed by a full blown sell-out and dedicated paywall subsite, with TONS of slap together content! Then the death of Krezz...yeah the team never ever has really hit their stride since the early days of the MU subsite.

To be fair, Palcomix was never going to be a major part of the FiM fandom once the furry artists got ahold of it. Low-quality art is ubiquitous on the internet; you either need to cater to an obscure fandom like Digimon or cater to an obscure fetish like tickling.
