Daicon reminded me of one of the reasons why I decided to take a break with anime. It's not because of various cliches with anime, but because of how absolutely connected I could feel with the characters. I feel a sort of love and caring for Daicon girl that I just can't really get from others. I really loved her in Daicon 4. She was a total badass, and the entire animation was a mix between nerd heaven and an action film.
In Daicon III though, I felt a connection to her as a little girl. She was never really "sexual" to me, but as I saw her as she was in the beginning of Daicon 4, you get to know more about her as a character. She's not really "moe" or made to be cutesy, but is shown as a strong protagonist. She was strong both mentally and physically. She looked totally innocent, and I couldn't help replay the time after where she got shot and opened her eyes. They were that of a bunny's, innocent, cute, charming, and anything else you could think of.
Overall, I think I've felt more for Daicon girl than any anime character I've seen. She may be mute in the animations, but her actions were enough to steal my heart.
