@Hopeful: Thinking about it grammatically, the woman is still 'netorareta' whether you're the 'netoru'-ing ('netotteiru') person or not.

I hear that some gain pleasure from synchronising with the position of the person whose partner was netorareta, {but since I don't} I personally only pay attention to the emotions of the netori and the netorare, regardless of which of the three (or multiple thereof) the perspective is given.

Hmm, how would one refer to that third person though I wonder..? 'Oku-sama ga (otou-san ni) netorareta hito', for instance? 'Netoraresaserareta' or the like would almost certainly be straight nonsense. A little fun to think about, granted.
