maple's habit..
is her her urge for head rubs from a certain someone. the parents of the boy usually only pat her head so she started preferring his touch over theirs. that boy was about 7 years of age at the time.

at first when she was around 3 or 4 years old she hated when he rubbed her head, but..
eventuality she got accustomed to it.
to the point that she always waited every day or any time of the day, for when he would come into the barn to rub her head while handling chores.

but on one particular day he never showed up.

she thought he may of been sick so he couldn't come play with her, so she waited til the next day.

still he never came over to play.

It's gotten to the point where she started waiting every day for him to come into the barn and play with her.

being unable to speak the human language didn't help her situation as she couldn't ask the papa farmer and mama farmer that she refers to them as, about the baby farmer that gives her head rubs. they only pushed her aside since they thought she wanted to play...

as for the boy he had left the farm to attend school life in the big city while in the care of relatives.

now at the age of 14 or so, he comes back to the farm for summer break, so much has changed and the cows have gotten bigger since the last time he saw them. surprisingly enough they also had something he never noticed before.

ah the ignorance of youth so blind so forgetful..
