I feel like while some, if not all, of these artists have impeccable composition and color theory, the 'anime' style really holds them back... There's a lot more they could be doing with the human body and everywhere I see exposed skin I see a place that could have used more shading, detail, you know. A good exammple of what I mean is Sun-Ken Rock mangaka Boichi- I love the way he does muscles.
Otsdarva, everyone has the right to use his or her skills as they see fit.
Art is in the eye of the beholder, my suggestion, don't waste life seeing what's wrong. Just enjoy it, see how the sum of imperfections creates perfection.
